How to Write Song Structure Tags for AI Music
In the Workspace Music tab, choose Custom, paste your lyrics with a tag in square brackets before each part ([Intro], [Verse], [Pre-Chorus], [Chorus], [Bridge], [Outro]), describe the style of music, and click Generate Music. The tags tell the model where each part starts, so the song gets a real shape: a calm opening, verses that tell the story, a chorus that repeats the hook. A song can be up to five minutes long.
Step 1: Open Custom mode
Open the Music tab in the Workspace and choose Custom. Custom mode takes your own lyrics and a style; Simple mode writes a song from a short description. Set the length between 10 seconds and 5 minutes (the lesson makes a 60-second song; each second costs 1 credit), and leave Instrumental off to get vocals.
Step 2: Write the lyrics with structure tags
Put a tag in square brackets on its own line before each part of the song. Each tag tells the model what that part is for:

Step 3: Describe the style of music
In the prompt area below the lyrics, describe the genre and the mood in a few words. Name the genre first, then the feeling.
Smooth contemporary R&B/Soul, sweet romantic love song
Step 4: Generate and listen
Click Generate Music and play the result when it is ready. A 60-second song covers the first parts of the lyrics; choose a longer length to hear the whole song.
Tips for better songs:
- Keep lines short and give each part its own tag, so the model can follow the structure.
- Repeat the chorus word for word: repetition is what makes a hook.
- For background music without singing, turn on Instrumental.

Chorus: the most memorable, repeated part of the song, usually the emotional and melodic peak. It carries the main hook and central message. Here, "You're the honey in my coffee." Bridge: a contrasting section that usually appears once later in the song. It breaks the repetition of verse and chorus with a different melody or perspective, often adding emotional depth or a twist before the final chorus. Outro: the closing section that winds the song down. It often echoes the chorus's theme or hook in a softer, fading way, giving a sense of resolution.
